President Bola Tinubu has extended condolences to Senator Abba Moro, Senate minority leader, over the death of his son, Victor Moro, and grandson, Abba Moro Jr.
Victor, who had recently completed his studies in Turkey, died in a car accident along the Mararaba axis of Nasarawa state, less than 24 hours after the burial of his father’s grandson.
The younger Moro was said to have been on his way to attend to personal matters when the fatal crash occurred.
In a statement signed by Bayo Onanuga, special adviser to the president on information and strategy, Tinubu described the deaths as a painful tragedy and urged the family to take solace in the lasting impact of their loved ones.
“President Tinubu urges the family to find solace in the impactful lives of the children, whose time on earth, though short, is truly a blessing to the many lives they touched,” the statement read.
The president prayed that God would receive the souls of the departed and grant the family strength and comfort.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Senate observed a minute of silence and resolved to visit Moro’s residence to commiserate with him.
