A pro-Tinubu group, South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), has distributed food items to residents of Anambra state to support vulnerable families and promote community welfare during the Christmas season.
Speaking at the distribution event, Belusochukwu Enwere, national coordinator of SERHA, said the initiative was aimed at ensuring that the joy and spirit of Christmas reached households amid prevailing economic challenges.
Enwere said Christmas symbolises hope, sacrifice, and love, adding that the intervention was a modest but sincere effort to translate those values into practical action.
According to him, the exercise reflects SERHA’s broader vision of touching lives in meaningful ways and standing with communities at critical moments.
“SERHA is here to support families and ensure that the joy of Christmas reaches homes across our communities. While food items may not solve all our problems, they symbolize care, empathy, and responsive leadership,” he said.
Enwere described Anambra as a symbol of resilience, enterprise, and strong communal bonds, especially evident during festive periods.
He said SERHA was proud to be part of the tradition of unity and compassion through the food distribution.
The SERHA coordinator thanked residents for their continued support for President Bola Tinubu, saying the outreach aligns with the federal government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Enwere urged beneficiaries to make good use of the food items to support their families and celebrate the season in peace.
He said SERHA would continue to engage communities through tangible actions rather than rhetoric.
Beyond the festive outreach, Enwere highlighted development initiatives of the Tinubu administration impacting the south-east.
On education, he said the federal government has made significant investments through the student loan scheme.
Enwere disclosed that ₦45.6 billion has been disbursed to students from the south-east under the education support programme.
He said the intervention is critical to expanding access to education and empowering young people in the region.
On infrastructure, Enwere said work has recommenced on the eastern rail line linking Aba, Onitsha, Enugu, and Nsukka to the national rail network.
He said the project would boost trade, ease movement, and stimulate economic activities across the south-east.
Enwere also highlighted the establishment of the South-East Development Commission as a major step towards addressing development gaps in the zone.
According to him, the commission is backed by a ₦150 billion South-East Investment Company to fast-track industrialisation and regional development.
“These initiatives demonstrate a clear commitment to inclusive development and the integration of the South East into the national economic framework,” Enwere said.
He assured residents of Anambra and the wider south-east that SERHA would remain committed to promoting welfare, unity, and sustainable development.
Enwere called on Nigerians to renew faith in a brighter future and strengthen communal bonds during the Christmas season.
