Alhaji Muheebudeen Babatunde Aderupoko, the Balogun Adinni of the Muslim community in Oke Odo town, Alimosho Local Government Area (LGA) of Lagos State, is dead.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that Alh. Aderupoko died on Thursday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, following a brief illness.
This newspaper understands that his body will leave Lagos on Friday morning to Ijebu Ode Muslim Cemetery, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, where he will be buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
A statement late on Thursday by the Akano Youth Development Forum confirmed Alh. Aderupoko’s demise.
“Inna lil-lahi wa innaa ilayhi raji’uun. The end of an era! With a heavy heart but with total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
“The entire Member of Akano Youth Development Forum announce the death of our father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Alhaji Muheebudeen Babatunde Aderupoko who died today, Thursday 27th October 2022 at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital(LASUTH), Ikeja, Lagos State after a brief illness.
“His remain will leave Lagos tomorrow morning to Ijebu Ode Muslim Cemetery, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State and will be buried according to the Islamic rite.
“We pray Allah SWT grant him Al janaat firdaws and give the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
“Goodnight Our beloved Balogun Adinni Musulumi Oke Odo Land,” the statement reads.
