In a development that will excite many Nigerians, President Bola Tinubu, has on Friday, June 24, met with Real Madrid’s defender, David Alaba, in France.
Politics Nigeria reports that the 31-year-old was born in Vienna, Austria, to Nigerian parents but he chose to play for the Austrian national team ahead of the Super Eagles.
Alaba’s father, George, is a prince from Ogere Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria.
Recall that Tinubu held his first presidential diaspora engagement in Paris, France,where he met with Nigerians living in France.
Tinubu, who was in Paris for the Summit on New Global Financing Pact, sought to use the opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with various countries, including officials of France, the United States of America and Switzerland.
The president’s aim is to discuss possible ways of attracting foreign direct investments to Nigeria.
