Real reason Akeredolu sacked Olawoye as Commissioner of Justice revealed

The real reason Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State sacked Olawoye Adekola, SAN, as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of the state has been revealed.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that governor Akeredolu sacked Adekola on Monday as the Commissioner of Justice, replacing him with a front line human rights lawyer, Sir Charles Titiloye.

However, it was learned that Adekola had been having a cold war with the governor shortly after two years in office. According to an insider in the government, the sacked commissioner has done many things to undermine the Governor simply because they are friends and from the same place, Owo.

One of the sins of Adekola was that he connived with a politician from the South senatorial district to sabotage the appointment of the current deputy Governor-elect, Lucky Aiyedatiwa from becoming the MD of NDDC. He also was alleged to have spread the rumor about the issue of an alleged fake Certificate of the governor-elect.

As the Commissioner of Justice, Adekola was said to have failed to build consensus among top lawyers in the state and also failed to notify the governor about the protest embarked on by lawyers in the state. It was learned that Adekola deliberately wanted to embarrass the Governor with the protest.

It was also learned that Olawoye was sacked for complaining about favoritism for some persons from Owo against him and blackmailing the governor. He was said to have been fired for taking certain unilateral decisions without the knowledge of Akeredolu and that caused some embarrassments to the state government.
