Remi Tinubu reacts to Super Falcons’ defeat by England

Nigeria’s first lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has commended the Super Falcons despite crashing out the ongoing Women’s World Cup.

Politics Nigeria earlier reported that the Falcons crashed out of the the tournament after losing to England on 4-2 penalty shoot out.

Chloe Kelly calmly converted the decisive kick to send England through to the quarter-final of the competition.

Despite the loss, Mrs Tinubu, who watched the game, praised Africa’s most decorated team for their outing in New Zealand and Australia.

“First Lady of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON with the wife of the Vice President Hajia Nana Shettima and wife of the senate President Mrs Ekaette Akpabio after watching the FIFA Women’s World Cup round of 16 game, have commended the Super Falcons saying they are very proud of them,” said Busola Kukoyi, media aide to Mrs Tinubu, on Monday.
