First Lady, Remi Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative, has provided much-needed assistance to flood victims at TradeMore Estate in Lugbe, Abuja, in June.
During a brief event, the First Lady’s representative and wife of the Vice President, Nana Shettima, expressed her sincere condolence for the unfortunate incident.
According to a statement by the media aide of the First Lady, Busola Kukoyi, she acknowledged the unpredictable nature of future flood occurrences due to the persistent rainy season.
She expressed hope that the outreach and intervention of the Renewed Hope Initiative would help alleviate the victims’ suffering.
The First Lady emphasized that although the initiative is still in the process of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), she couldn’t overlook the urgent situation in TradeMore Estate, as it falls within her jurisdiction.
Chairman of the Resident Association, Dr Adewale Adenaike, expressed gratitude on behalf of the recipients.
He appreciated Senator Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Initiative’s kindness and support during this challenging time.
The affected households received financial aid amounting to N250,000 each.
A total of 57 households were beneficiaries of this outreach by the Renewed Hope Initiative.
