”Repent and embark on intensive prayers in order to end banditry” – Senator Yari tells Nigerians

Senator Abdul Aziz Yari, representing Zamfara West Senatorial Zone, has issued a clarion call to Nigerians, urging them to embark on collective repentance and engage in fervent prayers as a solution to the prevailing scourge of banditry and related calamities in the nation.

The former Governor of Zamfara State asserted that despite concerted efforts by governments at all levels to tackle banditry, the persistent menace remained a daunting challenge, necessitating a spiritual approach to confront the crisis.

Addressing a gathering of APC supporters at his residence in Talata-Mafara, Senator Yari stressed the imperative for a unified return to faith and earnest prayers, seeking divine intervention to combat the scourge of banditry plaguing the country.

He said the ongoing societal upheavals might be correlated with widespread transgressions and a deviation from the ethical teachings enshrined in the Qur’an and the principles advocated by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

His words: “This is the reason why we are facing the wrath of God.

““Imagine how most people are running ungodly lives in society; they lack human feelings, and they stopped being good even to their families and neighbours, to the employers and governments, religious and traditional leaders.

“Should we all drop wickedness and other religiously prohibited attitudes, I am certain that Almighty Allah will seize over his punishments we are currently facing in our dear state and nation at large.

“No farming, no trading and other sources of living”.
