Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK), has stated that Christians in Nigeria are being specifically targeted and killed.

He made the remarks on Tuesday while commenting on the recent surge in killings and mass abductions by criminal elements.

A staunch supporter of President Bola Tinubu, FFK described those denying the killings of Christians as “propagandists”.

He condemned claims that “Christians are not being killed in Nigeria and that we bury empty coffins” as “a monstrous mendacity”, adding that anyone who denies or downplays the killings is “a perfidious propagandist, a genocide enabler, and a specious liar.”

While stressing that the security crisis affects all religions, FFK noted that Muslims are also targeted.
“What must be clearly understood, however, is that Muslims are also targeted and killed by the same terrorists in equal numbers,” he said.

FFK warned that Islamist terrorists are indiscriminately killing both Christians and Muslims, calling for urgent action to address the crisis.

He cited recent attacks: the abduction of 25 schoolgirls in Kebbi State and the killing of the school principal, the 64 people abducted in Tsafe, Zamfara State, and the killing of three individuals, noting that in these cases, the victims were Muslims.

He contrasted this with the abduction of a Catholic priest and 12 girls in Kagarko, Kaduna State, who were Christians, and the attack on Army officers, including a Brigadier General, in Borno State, which affected both Christians and Muslims.

“They only care about the spilling of innocent blood and abduction of our people,” FFK said.

His comments come amid claims by US lawmakers that Christians are being persecuted in Nigeria, a claim dismissed by Nigerian authorities but currently under investigation by US officials.

  1. Please release the names of the lawmakers who have by this barbaric demand, proven unfit to be lawmakers. They spoke as if the mind of the president is in their pocket. The president should release a deadly terrorist and treasonable felon? Come on, this must be a big joke. If Kanu is not sentenced to at least, life in jail, we would end up as an unserious nation.
