Former Kogi west senator, Dino Jonah Melaye has reacted to the senate’s rejection of the electronic transmission of votes in the the Electoral reform bill.
POLITICS NIGERIA earlier reported that the senate voted against it on Thursday creating mixed reactions amongst the country’s populace.
Electronic transmission of votes would boost transparency and credibility as results will be transmitted in real time.
Expressing disappointment, Melaye wrote on Twitter; “It is ridiculous and laughable that the same Senate that voted to reject transmission of our general elections electronically used electronic voting that was also transmitted electronically.”
“They voted and result transmitted electronically to the score board immediately.Oma se oo”.
