The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retired) approved the appointment of 12 new permanent secretaries for various ministries in the state.
Inyingi Brown, the Acting Head of Service, announced the appointment of the permanent secretaries in a special government public announcement made in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, June 3.
According to Brown, these new appointees are expected to be sworn in by the state’s Sole Administrator within a few days.
He also said that the date of the swearing-in of the new permanent secretaries would be announced by the state government at a later date.
His words, “The newly appointed permanent secretaries will be sworn in by His Excellency, the Administrator of Rivers State, on a date to be announced.”
The newly appointed permanent secretaries for Rivers State are:

10 Dr. Mina T. Ikuru
11 Dabite Sokari George
12 Soibitein Duke Harry
Recall that the Rivers State government under Ibas’ leadership has said it was set to launch a phased rehabilitation of the State Secretariat Complex in the state.
The rehabilitation process, the state government said, is aimed at improving public service delivery in the state.
It would also serve as an avenue for the improvement of the welfare of all the workers across the Rivers State.
