Security operatives sent to keep watch on Muhammed Sanusi, the ousted emir of Kano are reportedly harassing visitors at his Nasarawa detention centre.
Report has it that the security setup comprising of about 40 officers in number, include policemen, personnel of the Department of State Services and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
The house where Mr. Sanusi is detained is closed to the palace of the paramount ruler of Awe kingdom, Isah Umar.
According to available report, security operatives on Wednesday sent away those who came to pay Mr. Sanusi a courtesy visit.
Those denied from having access to the dethroned emir include: two paramount rulers – the Yakanajin Uke, Ahmad Abdullai, and the Sarkin Karshi, Muhammed Bako.
It was reported that two journalists were also harassed at the gate of the compound.
They were briefly detained and later released after mandating them to delete pictures of the house on their gadgets.
