The Special Adviser on Security in Osun State, Samuel Ojo, has raised the alarm over an impending security threat between Ifon in Orolu Local Government and Ilobu in Irepodun Local Government of the state.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that according to Ojo, intelligent reports indicate rising tension and internecine strife between the two towns.
He urged all security agencies to swing into action by mobilising security operatives to the Ilobu/Ifon axis to curb the impending danger that might cause the residents loss of lives and properties.
Ojo said a reliable source had informed him that some residents of both towns were seen with pump-action barrels, dane guns, clubs, and other dangerous weapons on Wednesday afternoon, warming up for a duel that night.
“Kindly use your good offices to act fast by deploying your operatives to the communities,” Ojo said in the alert.
