Security has been beefed up at the Court of Appeal in Abuja ahead of the delivery of the judgment in the presidential election petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), and the Labour Party (LP) challenging the victory of President Bola Tinubu.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that some armed riot policemen, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and other security operatives in plainclothes have been deployed at strategic locations in the city.
The police have also deployed truckloads of policemen to the Court of Appeal, where the proceedings will be held.
The petitioners, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and the APM, are seeking the nullification of Tinubu’s victory.
