The Senate has granted President Bola Tinubu’s request to hold a joint session of the National Assembly for the presentation of the 2024 budget.
The approval was given on Wednesday during the Senate’s plenary session.
This development comes a day after the National Assembly announced that President Tinubu will address the parliament on Wednesday, November 29, to present the 2024 budget proposal.
Three weeks ago, President Tinubu forwarded the 20224-2026 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper (MTEF/FSP) to both chambers of the National Assembly. The MTEF/FSP proposes a total expenditure of N26.1 trillion for the 2024 fiscal year.
