Seven Rescued As Two Storey Building Collapses In Lagos [PHOTO]

A two-storey building has collapsed in the Mushin area of Lagos State with seven persons rescued from the rubble.

The development was made known in a statement by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).

POLITICS NIGERIA understands that the building, located at 12 Cameroun Street off Ewenla, was newly constructed.

The LASEMA team, led by Permanent Secretary Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, arrived at the scene and discovered that the seven rescued persons, consisting of three females and four males, were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The agency confirmed that its rescue team had thoroughly searched the rubble and found no other victims underneath the collapsed building.

The area has also been cordoned off.
