Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has called for the investigation into the alleged forceful eviction of NIDCOM officials from their office in Abuja.
POLITICS NIGERIA reported how the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on Sunday, shared a video that the agency no longer has an office from which to operate following the forceful eviction by Minister of Communication, Isa Patanmi.
She disclosed that her staff were driven away with guns by the State Security Service (SSS) on the instruction of Mr Pantami, an allegation that was immediately rebuked by the minister.
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) also said that the claim by NIDCOM was false. It said that the commission was not sent packing.
In reaction to this, Mr Sani on Monday, took to Twitter calling for an investigation.
“The alleged forceful eviction of the Diaspora Commission officials should be responsibly investigated”, he wrote on Twitter.
