The Tinubu/Shettima Campaign group has rubbished a poll by International news organisation, Bloomberg, on the 2023 Presidential Elections that has the candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi in lead to become Nigeria’s next President.
Chief Spokesperson Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo (SAN) on Wednesday described as the poll as “delusional”
The presidential election scheduled for February next year is expected to be a three-horse race between Labour Party’s Peter Obi, the All Progressives Congress’ Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar.
According to Bloomberg, a clear majority of respondents to the opinion poll said they intend to vote for Obi, former Anambra State governor as the next president.
Responding, Keyamo in a tweet on his official Twitter handle said “The report of @BloombergAfrica said it used an APP to conduct an opinion poll in Nigeria where more than 95% don’t have access to such apps”.
“This style is even lower in credibility than when you send people to the field. This is the most delusional poll I have seen since I was born”.

FAKE pollsters with fake polls are meaningless in the scheme of Nigerian politics.

This poll is 100 percent correct considering the App used in arriving at the result which align with the practical situation on ground. Such App was used in many opinion pools in various presidential elections including Biden election period just to mention but a few. Outside this pool, many other pool had been conducted in Nigeria particularly from the media and independent organisations. All these pools has ranked Peter Obi to be in the far front margins against Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar. It is true that Labour Party is the fastest growing political party in Africa currently. Of course, there’s no other App that could have been used to access more of this by the public than this App as thousands of Nigerians at home and in diaspora had before, and now gained access on this opinion pool through this App. In fact, the App have made itself much more easier to gain access by the public particularly on public opinion where so many Nigerians has preferred and were always in rush to express their opinions. The App did not only explain the practical option on the ground but to extent, exposed other presidential candidates and their parties on their weak points.
I am NOT a member of any political party in Nigeria but l am confronting fact to its bitterness.

The Tinubu campaign groups should not be over confident even though Tinubu is a good product to sell. They must create a momentum now as Buhari has indeed damaged the APC brand irretrievably by his handling of the economy and security challenge. I expect Buhari to authorise States that have security outfits to carry automatic and sophisticated weapons to counter and overcome terrorists aside the strong push now being given by our military. Also, he must bring the exchange rate to N200 or lower to $1 before he hands over for citizens to have a bit of positive view of his administration and also for history to be kind to him as i dont think he deliberately intends to fail.

It looks delusional to apc but soon it will clear their eyes. Kunle, you are a good man and your comments made every of the party involved look good,but am inclined to believe there are people who by their actions, choices and statements qualify them to be bad people hence majority of their outputs must be bad. These two men you mentioned are in the twilight stage of their lives which should be a factor that compels men to turntowards good deeds but the good deeds are hardly seen at this stage of their lives.

Keyamo, what you regard as dillusional will soon manifest as reality by then you will be searching for words to describe it. Nigerians truly want a change, not the change of foisting another disaster with broom, slurred speech and unhealthy slow moving limbs nor an umbrella wielding megalomaniac who participated in plundering our resources and diverting same to personal used. Nigerians want a man with impeccable verifiable records. Someone who has been tested in the past and not found wanting, someone who will unite the country, revamp the economy and secure the citizens. That is why the opinion polls point towards Obi/Datti.

Obviously they should expect such outcome because the Party is not a good platform considering the recent happenings in the nation . While their candidate is also a bad market considering somany negative revelations such as no traces to his educational qualification, manoeuvring of credible elections using the judiciary which he did successfully in South west states and later did same during 2019 presidential election . His poor health status , his over ambition and desperacy which led him to impose Buhari on us and unconsciously said he is next to be the president also has negative effect , somany corruption allegations including the Ikoyi bullion van .. The 2020 Endsars killings at Lekki toll gate . All these led to creation of 3rd forces movement which Labour party and Peter are just being used as platform The movement is beyond that party and the personality involved . On a good day let Tinubu contest in a neutral party with all his money he will not again such momentum he has now compare to Obi who is not as popular as Tinubu riding on an unpopular political party .
The campaign has started then the voice of the masses both home and abroad will be felt to really confirm to both Tinubu and Atiku that this is beyond politics rather movement of the downtrodden wanting to take back their nation .
It is pool after pool affirming what every home in Nigeria knows about yet BAT team says it is delusion. I am certain that this delusional disbelief in the obvious will persist even after elections as they will continue to live in disbelief. PO has become an irrepressible force as God himself has finally heard our cries and remembered the traumatized land and people of Nigerians.
Nigerians will be acutely disappointed in all these politicians. We don’t learn and we forget so quickly. Politicians are one set of criminals that people deceptively think are sincere. We never learn. Only God can handle things for us and he will not use politicians.
