A former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd.), has jokingly said that he and some of his contemporaries will flee Nigeria in the event Omoyele Sowore, Presidential Candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), becomes president of the country.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that during the National Peace Committee (NPC) meeting under the leadership of Gen. Abubakar on Friday in Abuja, the AAC candidate was asked by the former Nigerian leader to “reconcile” with Action Alliance (AA) candidate, Major Hamza Mustapha.
However, Sowore stated that his disagreement was political, adding that “I have issues with all the military people that annulled the June 12, 1993 elections including him (Gen. Abubakar).”
Replying, the elder statement said: “Sowore, you are talking about 20 years ago. By the time you become the president of this country, I think some of us will leave this country.
“I think quite honestly, let bygones be bygones. What has happened has happened. Let’s go on with what is in front of us.”
I like some one like him with action to deal with corruption leaders
It will only take a while….he will still be President one day
.
People should leave the issue of June 12. I believe it was designed by The Almighty God save the country from what He saw but we could not see. Nothing happens to Nigeria without the knowledge of God. Nigeria is God’s own.
I am an igbo,I have been following Sowore for a very long time, that man has a good vision for the country,he is not corrupt,he is outspoken, Nigeria needs him but I beg him to support and work with the obedient family, for sure Mr.Peter Obi must win the election, that’s why I am telling Sowore to calm down and follow the moving train, the Obidatti that I know too well will make his voice heard globally, lastly, Sowore has a vision and a positive mission for this beautiful country.
