Minister of Works and former Ebonyi State governor, Dave Umahi, has declared that the South-East, especially Ebonyi State, will vote for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
Speaking at the Ohanivo 2025 New Yam Festival in Onicha Local Government Area on Saturday, Umahi dismissed the influence of the Peter Obi-led Obidient Movement in the state.
“We are not Obidient people. We have been so marginalized that we are no longer Obidient. But it is the man that has given us a sense of belonging, President Bola Tinubu. There is no Obidient person in Ebonyi State,” he said.
Umahi urged the people to take note of Tinubu’s contributions to the South-East and promised that the region would not be “deceived again” in 2027.
“What we have to do is to record the good things President Tinubu has done for the South-East and Ebonyi State. We will not be deceived again because the last election was a mistake, but we are now wiser,” he said.
