Sunday Igboho: Nnamdi Kanu’s Disciple On Biafra Pursuit Sends Message To Yoruba Activist

Amidst news of the arrest of Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho, Simon Ekpa, a staunch supporter Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has vowed that “the fire will be on soon”.
Politics Nigeria recalls that some persons of Eastern Nigeria extraction, as well as some others from South-West Nigeria want a breakaway nation of Biafra and Yoruba Nation respectively. But the Nigerian federal government is adverse to that campaign, insisting the nation is stronger together, and saying calls for secession could amount to treason.
In recent times, lead separatists like Igboho and Kanu have been arrested by Nigerian authorities, with the Muhammadu Buhari administration getting tough on them.
“Chief Sunday Adeyemo (Igboho), congratulations!” Ekpa wrote on his known Facebook page on Tuesday evening.
“We will now continue and the fire will be on soon.”

Igboho was said to have been arrested by security operatives in Benin Republic on Monday, while on his way to Germany, and that there were plans to repatriate him to Nigeria.
The Department of State Services (DSS) had raided his Ibadan home, and killed at least two persons, which forced Igboho to flee and go into hiding.
