Napoli and Super Eagles’ talisman, Victor Osimhen, has won yet another accolade following his successful 2022/2023 football season campaign.
Osimhen won the Best African International Player prize at the Ghana Football Awards.
The Nigerian striker got the highest number of votes beating Egypt and Liverpool’s star, Mohamed Salah, Manchester City and Algeria winger, Riyad Mahrez and Yassine Bounou of Morocco and Sevilla.
Osimhen won the coveted prize for the first time and also emerged as the first Nigerian to achieve such feat.
The skilled striker had previously won two individual awards this season.
Osimhen won the highest scorer award in Serie A and was also named the best striker in the Italian top-flight.
He is also the favourite to win the African Player of the Year award.
