Doyin Okupe, an ally of Peter Obi and a former Director General (DG) of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), on Wednesday, expressed his disappointment with the outcome of the presidential election which produced the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, as the winner.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Okupe shared his dissatisfaction via a Twitter post hours after Tinubu was declared winner of the Saturday, February 25 presidential election.
The result of the presidential election was announced by the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmoud Yakubu at 4: 15 a.m. in Abuja.
“We have run a good race. Fought a good fight. We thank God for the mercies we received along the way.
“Even though disappointment and gloom seem to loom and tears filled my eyes because, my God, I don’t know yr mind. But I remember that in these situations u hv [sic] taught me to say IT IS WELL,” Okupe wrote.
