Terrorists kill 3, abduct 13 in Katsina

Three persons were reported to have been killed, 13 abducted, while five sustained gun injuries when terrorists known locally as bandits attacked an illegal gold processing site located at Bakin Korama of Magama village in Jibiya Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State, Northwest Nigeria, recently.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that a gold dealer identified as Sani Muhammad, noted that “out of the three persons killed by the bandits, two are from Jibiya, while the identity of the third could not be identified as no means of identification was found on him.”

However, he said those killed have been buried, according to Islamic rights, while the people wounded are currently receiving treatment at the Jibiya General Hospital.

Bandits have terrorised Nigeria’s rural northwest, killing, kidnapping, forcing people from their homes, and taunting the authorities with their brazenness.

In the last few months, the terrorists have downed an air force jet; attacked the military’s officer training school; struck a prestige commuter rail service running between the capital, Abuja, and the city of Kaduna; and kidnapped students for ransom from schools and colleges so many times.
