Former presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Garba, has issued a strong warning to terrorists operating in northern Nigeria.
Speaking on Tuesday, Garba said insurgents must either surrender or face death following the appointment of General Christopher Musa as the new Minister of Defence.
Garba hailed Musa’s nomination by President Bola Tinubu as a decisive step to strengthen the military and restore public confidence in Nigeria’s fight against terrorism.
He described Musa as a highly competent officer who earned his position through merit rather than political considerations.
According to Garba, the appointment signals a renewed determination by the government to tackle insurgency decisively.
Posting on social media, Garba said, “General C.G Musa, as the Minister of Defence, will restore high morale and confidence in the rank and file of the military across the country. It will strengthen the public’s trust in the government’s readiness and ability to eliminate the threat of terrorism.”
He further warned that terrorists who had brought fear to communities across the North should prepare for the consequences of their actions.
Garba praised the Tinubu administration for placing technocrats in critical positions and congratulated Musa for taking on the new role.
“Most importantly, I congratulate Nigerians for standing firm on what is right,” he added, emphasizing that the message to terrorists is clear: surrender or die.
