The new national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda has said that the country lacks the needed opposition.
Downplaying the activities of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party, the coalition party and other political opposition platforms, Yilwatda said there is no opposition in Nigeria for now.
Speaking in an interview with Channels Television, the new APC chairman said the ruling party is not losing fear over the activities of the coalition leaders and its adopted party, the African Democratic Party.
He said, “There is no opposition for now, we have zero fear, however, I shouldn’t be sharing our strategy with the opposition.”
Speaking on preparation for the 2027 general election by the ruling party, Yilwatda said the APC would win all the other parties by a landslide.
“We will win… why is it that all the elections within the period, all the bye-elections are all won by the APC and all landslide victories?” he queried.
“Even the bye-elections for senators, House of Representatives, APC is doing well,” Yilwatda added.
