Salihu Lukman, former Vice National Chairman, North West of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has asserted that Nigerians will not support Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
Lukman made the remark during an interview with Daily Sun where he expressed grave concerns over the APC’s current trajectory and electoral prospects.
“There is no way Nigerians can support Tinubu or candidates on the platform of APC in 2027,” he stated.
Reflecting on recent elections, Lukman lamented the erosion of public confidence in the APC, attributing it to what he described as a failure of leadership to address critical issues and foster unity within the party.
“What I see President Asiwaju doing and APC doing is to erode the basis of confidence of the electorate,” Lukman pointed out.
The former APC chieftain also expressed concerns about the integrity of past elections and the potential for future electoral manipulation.
He stressed that unless there is a meaningful effort to rebuild trust and promote accountable leadership, the APC’s chances in 2027 remain precarious.
