The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called for an investigation into the alleged diversion of the rice donated by the Federal Government rice to the Kano State Government by some officials.
The party also demanded an urgent prosecution of anyone indicted by the probe.
According to the APC Kano state’s chairman, Abdullahi Abbas the alleged diversion of items meant for Nigerians and residents of Kano by NNPP-led government officials cannot be tolerated.
Describing such act as unpatriotic, Abbas said one Tasiu Al’amin-Roba, allegedly working for the Secretary to the State Government, has been arrested for diverting state palliatives.
He also alleged that the government officials were caught rebranding and repackaging palliatives with the Governor’s picture and NNPP logo, hence selling them to party members.
