“They’re sweating” – PDP chieftain fires back at APC over its views on Atiku-Obi meeting

Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kola Ologbondiyan, has berated the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) following the party’s comments on the recent meeting between PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s Peter Obi, sparking speculations of a possible coalition.

In response to the meeting in Abuja, the APC, through its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, took a dig at Atiku and Obi, accusing them of harbouring a shared desperation for the presidency and showing disregard for the transformative efforts of President Bola Tinubu.

Morka labelled Atiku and Obi as individuals driven by personal ambitions, seeking party platforms opportunistically to fulfil their political aspirations.

Reacting to the APC’s statement, Ologbondiyan, in a social media post, ridiculed the ruling party, adding that the APC was in a state of panic.

He questioned the APC’s priorities, accusing them of engaging in political theatrics rather than focusing on governance issues.

His words: “I just can’t stop laughing at the theatrics of these APCites,” he wrote.

“In one breath, they will tell Nigerians that elections are over, and those who have been elected should be allowed to govern as if any Nigerian has the strength to stop them if they have any form of capacity for the needful.

“On the flip, they are sweating that @atiku and @PeterObi met in Abuja, a situation that has shoved them down to a frenzy in the media space.

“It speaks volumes that the same persons who should be raising issues of governance are the ones now politicking just because Atiku and Peter Obi met.

Isn’t this a case of the guilty running even when no one pursues?”
