Socio-political activist, Aisha Yesufu, on Friday asked authorities to ensure that those involved in the open murder of Deborah Samuel, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, must face the full wrath of the law.
POLITICS NIGERIA had reported that Deborah was accused of insulting Muhammad, a revered Prophet of Islam, which led to a mobbing that resulted in her death on Thursday. Her body was also burned afterwards.
The brutal killing has elicited furious reactions online, with many calling for justice.
“How can Nigeria ever get peace? The country cannot keep shedding blood and expect to live happily ever after. There can be no peace without justice! Deborah and many others deserve justice. Those who killed her must face the full wrath of the law,” she wrote on her verified Twitter handle.
