A former senator who represented Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has called on the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to immortalise late Moshood Olabisi Ajala.
In a tweet on Friday, September 15, Sani recalled that in 1957, Ajala embarked on a worldwide journey with a scooter.
The former Nigerian lawmaker noted that Ajala travelled to over 40 countries and met with several world leaders at the time.
Stating that the famous Nigerian passed on in 1999, Sani said he deserves a posthumous award, with a street in Abuja named after him.
He stated:
“In 1957, a young Nigerian Moshood Olabisi Ajala embarked on a worldwide Journey with a scooter. He travelled to over 40 countries.
“He met with Soviet leader Nikita Sergeyeve, Israeli PM Golder Meir, the Shah of Iran& Egypt’s President.
“He died in 1999. The FRSC should immortalise him with a posthumous award. A street should be named after him in Abuja.”
