Few months ago, late Temitope Joshua, popularly addressed as TB Joshua, said a Christian should not consider death as the end but should be worried about the life hereafter.

The popular pastor and founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) gave this admonition in a live broadcast on his television station, Emmanuel TV.

In the clip seen by POLITICS NIGERIA, the preacher drew his message from a bible verse, John 14: 6, which describes Jesus as the way, truth and life.

“I want to take you to the Book of John 14 verse 6. Jesus answered; I’m the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the father, except through me, if you really know me, you will know my father. No one comes to the father, except through me.

This is a message from Jesus. The Christian does not consider death to be his end but the end of his trouble, the end of his tribulations. Whether you die young or old, no matter the nature of your death, death is sure to come,” he said.

Mr Joshua emphasised that what matters is the grace to continue living hereafter.

“We need to be sure that we are ready to depart. Are you ready?” the preacher asked his viewers.

57-year-old Joshua died in Lagos on Saturday evening shortly after finishing a programme in church.

His remains had been deposited at the morgue and an autopsy would be performed forthwith. It was gathered that he gave up the ghost on the way to a hospital. He is survived by a wife, Evelyn and 3 children.
