“Time for youths to lead Lagos” – Ex-Labour Party chieftain endorses Seyi Tinubu

Isaac Balami, a former chieftain of the Labour Party (LP), has pledged his support for Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu if he decides to run for governor of Lagos State.

While Seyi Tinubu has not officially declared his intentions, speculation about a potential gubernatorial bid continues to grow.

Balami stated that Lagos is ready for a shift in leadership from older politicians to a new generation of youthful leaders.

He argued that Seyi Tinubu, who would be 42 years old in 2027, represents a break from gerontocracy and embodies the energy and vision needed to advance Lagos.

“If Seyi Tinubu agrees to run in the next Lagos governorship election, I will come all out with my army of youth supporters to back him.

“This is the time to change the practice of gerontocracy for the good of Lagosians,” Balami said.

According to him, Seyi Tinubu, with his youthful energy and innovative outlook, could govern Lagos more effectively than older leaders.

He further stressed that leadership should prioritize competence and merit over age, gender, or ethnicity.
