Senator Kofoworola Bucknor-Akerele, a former deputy governor of Lagos State during the administration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has said that her former boss changed his name over the years to what he currently bears.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Bucknor-Akerele re-echoed the claim that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2023 election, Tinubu, changed his identity.
Critics of the 70-year-old had claimed that Tinubu is not an indigene of Lagos State and have repeatedly questioned his origin.
“We all know Tinubu is not an indigene of Lagos. Everyone knows he is from Iragbiji (in Osun State).
“His name is not Tinubu, he borrowed the name,” Bucknor, a member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), told Alaroye TV in a recent interview in Yoruba.
Amid the constant claim that Tinubu changed his name, his associates have challenged critics to present evidence of the presidential hopeful’s birth-given name.

Very easy and common especially in the days. In the case of your favorite candidate, he most likely travelled on a Bola Ahmed Tinubu passport that had a valid visa to the USA, worked and schooled with it and returned home as “Bola Ahmed Tinubu “hence it is no longer possible to retrieve the original name which he used for elementary and secondary education. Are you happy now?
Akuko. The Tinubu family already made it known that he is not related to them. He only borrowed the name probably because the family is big.
Madam Bucknor, we know that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, like some Igbo traders in Lagos whom he loathes, is not a Lagosian. To refer to him as a Lagosian is to also accord those Igbos born and bred in Lagos some 75 years ago the title of Lagosians.
What we do not know is, what his birth name is and what he had done under those names. Could you please be kind enough to make known to us his other name? Knowing those names could open doors to the knowledge of who this man is, who is so desperate to want to govern Nigeria.
Post Script: there is this unfolding little matter about one Bola Tinubu “(F)” who had attended Chicago State University. Could she still be alive? Or could she have been a former hermaphrodite who had switched sex and become a male persona instead? (Scratching my head o…)
