President Bola Tinubu on Friday congratulated Oba Adesuyi Haastrup on his coronation as the new monarch of Ijesha Land.
In a congratulatory signed by Bayo Onanuga, the special adviser to the president on information and strategy, Tinubu said the monarch’s life is marked by success.
Oba Adesuyi’s coronation took place in Ijesha land, Osun state.
The event was attended by several dignitaries including former president Olusegun Obasanjo, ex-vice President Atiku Abubakar, and the governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke among many others.
According to Tinubu, the new Oba’s trajectory from business and real estate to serving as the deputy governor of Osun state and now a monarch is a testament to his leadership abilities.
Also highlighting some of the monarch’s personalities, the president said Adesuyi’s character and commitment to traditional institutions is one to reckon with.
“President Tinubu urged Oba Haastrup to continue upholding the values of our tradition and promoting unity and harmony in Ijeshaland, Osun State, and Nigeria.
”The President wished the new traditional ruler divine guidance and wisdom on the throne, praying that the legacy of his forebears continues to shine through his reign,” the president stated.
