Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration for what he describes as excessive and wasteful spending.
In a statement released on Sunday by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele accused Tinubu’s government of exacerbating Nigeria’s economic woes rather than addressing them.
He expressed concern that the administration’s lavish expenditures are harming the economy rather than helping it recover.
“President Tinubu is further destroying Nigeria’s economy instead of looking for ways to repair it.
“The unnecessary lavish spending isn’t benefiting the country. Sometimes I wonder if these government officials are aware of the economic realities because if they were, they wouldn’t be making such expenditures at this critical time,” Primate Ayodele said.
He added, “I don’t foresee our economy improving by 2025 if the current approach continues. The government needs to cut costs; the excessive spending is killing the economy.
“Nigeria is in serious trouble, but it seems the government is indifferent to the situation.”
