Tinubu has confirmed his confidence in Kano, Ganduje’s aide on his appointment as FAAN chairman

President Bola Tinubu has confirmed the confidence and appreciation towards Kano State, an aide to Abdullahi Gandune, the chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has said.

Oliver Okpala said that Ganduje’s appointment as the chairman of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) is indicative of the president’s appreciation of the contributions made by Kano state to his administration.

In a statement released on Friday, Okpala condemned the attack by the chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC), Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, against the appointment of Ganduje.

Okpala said it is important for every politician to understand that politics has gone beyond bitterness.

Also calling on politicians to focus on growth and development of the nation, Okpala said he is confident that Ganduje would deliver on his responsibility as the chairman of FAAN.

“Whether the naysayers like Rimingado agree or not, Ganduje’s contributions to the advancement of Kano State during his tenure as governor will continue to speak for him.

“I have no doubt that Dr Ganduje’s remarkable dedication to serving the nation will also manifest in this his new assignment. Watch out for great things in our nation’s airports as he would no doubt work with stakeholders to make a positive impact,” he said.
