
Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, the late father of the Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo has been laid to rest in his hometown in Okene.
The funeral prayers for the late Ododo were led by the Chief Imam of Ebiraland, Muhammad Salihu Abere on Tuesday, August 19.
The governor’s father died on Monday, August 18, at the age of 83.
Condoling with Governor Ododo, Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu said his thoughts and prayers are with the Ododo family, their friends, and the people of Kogi State during this time of grief.
This was contained in a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, the special adviser to the president on information and strategy.
Onanuga in the statement said the Late Momohsani is a respected community leader whose legacy is evident in the accomplishments of the children he nurtured.
“The President urges Governor Ododo, his family, and the entire Ododo clan to take solace in their patriarch’s life of service to God and the moral and religious values that guided him.
“He prays for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed and God’s comfort for the bereaved family, friends and associates,” Onanuga said.
