The spokesperson of the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Senator Dino Melaye, has said that Nigeria cannot have a known drug lord as her president in 2023.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Melaye challenged the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to a drug test ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Melaye was reacting to the never-ending accusation linking Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, with a drug case in the United States (US).
The former federal lawmaker spoke recently in an interview on ‘Real Talk with Kike’, monitored by this newspaper.
“Nigeria cannot have a drug baron and possibly a consumer, as president,” Melaye said.
“I don’t want a Pablo Escobar (referring to the Late Colombian drug lord and narcoterrorist) as the president of Nigeria.
“There is a public document that has indicted Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a drug baron.”
