Tinubu sends serious warning to Yoruba Nation agitators, others

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has cautioned anti-state actors threatening the sovereignty of the country.

Tinubu said this while speaking on the security situation in the county during a meeting with leaders of Afenifere, the respected Yoruba Socio-Cultural Organisation, at the State House in Abuja, on Wednesday.

The president’s warning comes barely few days after the attack on Oyo State secretariat by suspected members of the Yoruba Nation group.

He said: “I am irrevocably committed to the unity of Nigeria and constitutional democracy. Constitutional democracy is reflected greatly here since we assumed office.

“What we face now is the challenge of terrorism. Security of life and property is very necessary for development. I can tell you we are achieving success. We have degraded terrorism to a level that they cannot threaten the sovereignty of Nigeria any longer.

“Banditry and kidnapping will be defeated. And there is no payment of ransom whatsoever. We are taking the battle to them. We are getting results more rapidly than before. We are working hard on intelligence gathering.

“Those who think they can threaten the sovereignty of Nigeria will have themselves to blame. They have a price to pay. And we are not going to relent,” the president affirmed.

President Tinubu said his administration remained undeterred in its pursuit of comprehensive economic security for the country while addressing foundational challenges and creating a fair and equitable system in which all Nigerians could thrive.

The president, in a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, said his administration was re-engineering Nigeria’s finances and seeking to boost the purchasing power of citizens, and spread prosperity down the line, by instituting a credit system where the element of cash is not an impediment to a significantly enhanced standard of living for all citizens.

Earlier in his remarks, His Royal Majesty, Oba Olu Falae, commended the president for his courageous decisions and for the rehabilitation of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, as well as other critical ongoing projects.

He urged the president not to relent in ensuring fairness and equity for all Nigerians while noting the importance of a constitutional amendment to devolve more powers to the states.

The delegation was led by Pa Reuben Fasoranti, leader of Afenifere; Oba Falae, alongside other eminent citizens.

  1. FANTASTIC!

Let no bunch of IDIOTS feel or think they can take this government and the presidency on any frivolous ride and ransom.

I had written earlier in 2022 that these opportunistic bandits tagged Yoruba nation mis adventurers as INCONSEQUENTIAL PEASANTS with their USELESS moribund agitation as TINY RANTS. Trip – Politics – Nigeria – Nairaland Forum

THE MISGUIDED ELEMENTS LED BY A QUESTIONABLE HOLDER OF PROFESSORSHIP CERTIFICATE IN HISTORY.

One Banji Akintoye who claims to be a professor of history do not know or lack adequate or the dintest of knowledge about the Yoruba people. Else would not have plunged stupidly into a NONESENSICAL stirs of empty pursuits and carry along with him some amenable dunces who have now landed in pots of hot soups of the government of the day.

THESE FOOLS SHOULD GO DO A RETHINK!

And that is by studying the history and story of the formation of Yoruba and its sustenance.
