“Tinubu will retire Atiku permanently in 2023” – Joe Igbokwe

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Drainage and Water Resources, Joe Igbokwe, who is a former spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, on Thursday asserted that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling party, “will retire Atiku Abubakar permanently in 2023”.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Atiku is the presidential flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and has been contesting for presidency since the 1990s.

Since his entry into politics in 1993, Atiku has unsuccessfully contested five times for the Office of President of Nigeria in 1993, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019.

Reacting to PDP’s boast where the main opposition party stated that Tinubu “is no match” for Atiku, Igbokwe responded with his own bragging.

He also reiterated his call for power to shift to the South, saying “the world knows about it”.

“Asiwaju will retire Atiku permanently in 2023. And if you must know, Presidency is zoned to the South and the world knows about it,” Igbokwe wrote on his known Facebook page.
