#TinubuMustGo: Nigerians Demand Tinubu’s Removal on Twitter

Following the nationwide economic hardship that has attended the federal government’s removal of petrol subsidy and upward review of fuel price, there are outcries from Nigerians across the country.

While some Nigerians are now wishing to return to the days of former President Muhammadu Buhari, others believe things were much better under the government of his predecessor, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The pain and constraints coincide with the fact that borrowing and debt servicing are on the increase.

Consequently, some Nigerians on social media are now pushing the call for President Bola Tinubu to vacate his office which is barely 100 days old.

In fact, #TinubuMustGo is trending on Twitter such that at the time of writing this report, it has already garnered not less than 17,000 views on the micro-blogging website.

Some tweeps, mostly supporters of Labour Party’s Peter Obi, are optimistic that the tribunal would upturn Tinubu’s election as Nigeria’s president.
