One of the ministerial nominees who attended the screening slated by the Senate, Ibrahim Geidam, arrived for the exercise on Friday, August 4, with a walking stick.
In a video shared on Twitter by AIT News, Geidam was seen greeting some senators and associates while supporting himself with a stick.
The lawmaker is the immediate past governor of Yobe, succeeded by the national secretary caretaker committee chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mai Mala Buni on 29 May 2019.
President Bola Tinubu had sent the second batch of ministerial nominees to the Senate.
Chief of Staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila, submitted the second batch of President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial list to the Senate on Wednesday.
The second nominees’ list is a follow-up to the initial list of 28 ministerial nominees already announced by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
