Tinubu’s govt unveils another N25,000 monthly donation to 15 million families

As part of efforts to reduce the impact of the economic hardship on Nigerians, the Bola Tinubu administration has unveiled a fresh plan to support 15 million households with a monthly sum of N25,000.

The payments will last over a period of three months.

Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, disclosed this in an interview in an interview with ChannelsTV.

“I think the important thing to point out, at this time, is that the focus of Mr President is on keeping his promise, particularly to the poor and the vulnerable,” Edun said.

“Food prices are elevated, and the purchasing power is limited and that is what Mr President is speaking directly to through the intervention programme of direct payments of N75,000 each over three months.

“That is N25,000 a month to 15 million households and each household is about five people. So, that effectively provides funding for 75 million people.”

Edun also reiterated the federal government’s decision to distribute grains to Nigerians in order to reduce the current high cost of food items.

“More recently, there was a 42,000 metric tonnes release from the strategic reserves with another 60,000 metric tonnes to come. This is all in a bid to make sure there is food in the marketplace,” the minister said.

  1. Have you examined the first one you did that how far has it goes round? Like if it’s went round approximately between 70% to 80% do you think the masses would raise eyes brow to complaining for the sky rocket of prices of food and scarcity of essential commodities? Any intervention projects that doesn’t back up with adequate monitoring and evaluation is bound to be failed even repeatedly 100 times. This is because the group or agency that in care of distribution needs to be monitored and evaluated. In order to be acquaintance the degree of impacts which should not be less than 70%.
I admonish that if you just approved second appliative for 15million Nigerians please set machinery in motion for proper monitoring and evaluation so that the distribution would be effective and efficiency and fund would touch the target audience or the poorest of the poor.
    Suggestions:
Those Pastors and Aafas that pray for you to attained your goals gather them together and divide them into two. Then use first group for monitoring and the second group for evaluation.
To some extent those people in these two groups supposed to executes their assignment with fears of God. And if they failed to justify their assignment accordingly it means they have decided the path they wanted to take.

  2. In my no single person that is beneficiary of this program and believe there are many more like that. Therefore don’t deceive or fool with this program. Many poor and aged are starving.
