‘Tinubu’s reforms will gradually bring results’, Buhari assures Nigerians

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians that the reforms implemented by President Bola Tinubu’s administration would gradually bring results.

Celebrating Tinubu’s mid-term achievements after spending two years in office, the former president said as the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the current administration celebrate, the people should be reminded that leadership is a continuous process.

In a statement signed by Garba Shehu, a media aide to the former president, there is a need for Nigerians to support the policies and reforms adopted by the APC-led government.

“Muhammadu Buhari called for steadfast support for the APC government as it marks its second year in office, explaining that reforms would achieve success gradually, not overnight,” Shehu said.

Buhari, however, warned that whole reforms are necessary, its adoption or implementation must not be at the detriment of domestic politics.

He also called for support to reduce the knitting hardship among the populace while highlighting the need to curb the rising inflation in the country.

According to Buhari, the growing hardship, inflation and poverty have hit the poorest families the hardest.

Urging Nigerians to remain confident in the nation’s future, he said, “The private sector and all of us as citizens must join in all ways we can.”

“Our expectations from our governments should not get heavy.

“I am wishing President Tinubu heartfelt congratulations on his two years in office. May you keep leading with wisdom and care,” Buhari added.
