Tinubu’s wife awards 43 tertiary school students scholarship (photos)

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has awarded 43 tertiary institution students scholarships through her Renewed Hope Initiative.

Oluremi made this gesture when he launched the National Scholarship Programme for Higher Education initiative on Saturday, August 26.

According to a statement released on Saturday by her media assistant, Busola Kukoyi, some recipients were nominated by different women’s societies.

The societies include the National Council for Women Societies and the Defence Staff and Police Officers Wives Association, while others were selected from among the 36 states of the federation and the FCT.

The statement read: “The Renewed Hope Initiative of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (#SenRemiTinubu) today gave scholarship grants to 43 students of state and federal tertiary institutions from all the states of the federation, the FCT, and nominees from some other women associations.

“The scholarship grant is One million Naira annually for four years and a brand new laptop for each beneficiary.

“Also with the First Lady was Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu (#edu_betta) and Minister of State for the FCT, Dr Mariya Mahmood #DrMariyaMahmoud.”
