Melania Trump, the former First Lady of the United States, made a rare public appearance with her husband, Donald Trump, over the weekend.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that this comes after the arraignment of the former president, where he pleaded not guilty to 34 felony charges.
Melania’s absence since the court appearance had sparked rumours of a possible divorce between the couple. However, the former model put those rumours to rest by joining the former president for an Easter brunch at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach on Sunday.
Videos shared on social media show Donald Trump waving and stopping for handshakes as the couple entered the ballroom at the private club.
Melania, on the other hand, headed straight to their table in the middle of the room. The two were seen sitting next to each other and chatting throughout the meal, with Melania leaning in close to talk to her husband.
The couple received a standing ovation from their guests upon entering the ballroom. Red velvet ropes were used to block off the rest of the holiday-goers.
