
Two suspected terrorists who have been on the wanted list of the Nigerian military have been arrested by troops, the Defence Headquarters have said.
The terrorists were arrested alongside a gunrunner simply identified as Shehu Bagiwaye in Gudu and Gusau local government areas of Sokoto and Zamfara States respectively.
Spokesperson for the Defence Headquarters, Major General Markus Kangye in a press briefing also said that the troops successfully handed over 75 rehabilitated terrorists to the governor of Borno State.
According to Kangye, several other terrorists were killed in the operation by the troops of the Nigerian Military.
Among the suspected terrorists who were rehabilitated by the military and handed over to Borno State government were seven adult males, 34 adult females and 34 children.
In addition, items including motorcycles, tricycles, mobile phones, arms and ammunition as well as millions of cash were recovered from the operation.
