Unknown Gunmen: Nwodo tells FG what to do

Amid the nefarious activities of the so-called ‘Unknown Gunmen’ terrorising the southeast region, a former governor of old Enugu State and ex-National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Okwesilieze Nwodo has said the Federal Government (FG) should see the urgent need to dialogue with the people of the zone to put an end to the bloodshed.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Nwodo stated that the FG can meet all the demands of the region, adding that its refusal to dialogue with the people gave rise to the agitations which have devastated the southeast region.

“I have always said that whether we are talking about Biafra or unknown gunmen, what the Federal Government owes the people of the South-East to stop all these agitations is to dialogue with us,” Nwodo told Vanguard in a recent interview.

“There is no demand in the South-East today which the Federal Government cannot meet, but it has stoutly refused to dialogue with us.

“The result is these agitations here and there.”
