Unknown Gunmen: Orji Kalu sends key message to Buhari, South-East Govs

As the activities of this so-called Unknown Gunmen continues, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the Chief Whip of the Senate has asked Southeast governors to meet “those behind the agitations and violence” in the region.

He also enjoined President Muhammadu Buhari to “passionately listen to all concerned in the area”.

The two-time governor of Abia State was speaking on Wednesday during an interaction session with journalists, after receiving the traditional title of Kibiya (Arrow) of Argungu Emirate from the Emir, Alhaji Mohammed Mera.

“The agitations in the south east need to be addressed or tackled out of politics by way of setting up a committee for required pacification.

“The governors need to redouble their efforts in meeting those behind the agitations and violence just as the President needs to passionately listen to all concerned in the area,” Kalu said.

Southeast has been engulfed in violent killings and destructions recently, with many pointing accusing fingers at the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

  1. Mr Orji, you’re one of the problems of the southeast. If you and other leaders do what you promise to do, and care about your people, things will definitely be different in the southeast.

An adage in igbo says, Ala adighi mma, bu uru ndi nze. You people are simply taking advantage of the situation in the region but, it all ends here, posterity will judge all of you.

    Ji si ni ike.
